Consistent team members for stability

Staff Who Listen and Understand

Our support staff are carefully selected. Many have lived experience or have cared for loved ones with support needs. All bring calm energy and genuine respect to their work.

We match team members to residents based on shared interests and communication styles. Support workers do not replace families. They are there to make things easier for everyone involved.

Built-In Flexibility

Some environments feel too noisy, too rigid, or simply not right. We take the time to understand what works for you and make adjustments when things change.

Whether you are building toward greater independence or need day-to-day support, we will meet you where you are.

Adaptable Support

Support that grows with your independence
Adjustable routines based on your preferences
Regular reviews to ensure your needs are met

How We Support You With SIL

Moving into a new home is a significant decision. We are here to make sure it feels right from the beginning. Our support goes beyond providing a place to live.

We work with you to build independence at your pace. Whether you need assistance with personal care, want to cook your own meals, or simply prefer someone close by, we will adapt to your needs.

This is not just about meeting requirements. It is about helping you feel grounded, safe, and understood in your own home.

You Are Not Just Moving In. You Are Settling In

We recognise that moving is a big step. That is why we help you settle in gently and with support.

This may include:

Visiting the home multiple times before moving in
Meeting staff gradually and at your own pace
Bringing a family member or support person along for comfort

We take the time to get it right. There is no rush. Everyone is supported through the transition.

Your SIL Questions Answered

What is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support that helps you live more independently in a home that feels right for you. You will receive help with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, while still remaining in control of your life. SIL is about increasing your confidence and creating more room for the things you enjoy.

Who is eligible for SIL?

SIL is available to people aged 6 to 65 who need support to manage daily life. Whether you are moving out for the first time, changing living arrangements, or looking for a better fit, we can help you understand what is available.

How is SIL different from a group home?

SIL homes with Excellent Carers are real homes, not placements. You are welcomed into a space where your choices are respected. You will have your own room, support workers who listen, and a voice in how your home is run. This is not about fitting into a system. It is about creating a home that fits you.

Can I visit the home before I decide?

Yes. You are welcome to visit, meet the team, and see how the home feels. You can bring your family or support coordinator along. There is no pressure. You can take the time you need to decide.

What if I am unsure about SIL?

That is completely understandable. You do not need to decide immediately. Some people begin with short stays, while others prefer to have a few conversations first. We will go at your pace and support you in whatever way feels most comfortable.

Ready for a Chat About What You Need?

You do not need to have everything figured out. We are here to listen, answer your questions, and help you explore what could work best for you.

You are welcome to visit, speak with our team, and involve your family or support coordinator. This is your choice and your home. We are here to help you take the next step with confidence.
